2009 Adirondack Canoe Classic, “The 90-miler” – September 11-13
Now that we’ve got my shiny new blue kayak home, I’ve got my eye on the Adirondack Canoe Classic at the end of the summer. “The 90-miler” is a 3-day canoe/kayak race that starts in Old Forge and ends in Saranac Lake. From what I hear, it’s grueling … but worth every minute.
Some teams take it seriously:
And some teams…don’t:
But I’m pretty sure everyone has a good time.
For those who are interested in participating, contact the race hotline at 518-891-2744 or brian@macscanoe.com. Provide your name, mailing address and phone number and indicate you are interested in a 90-Miler entry form. Previous entrants will be mailed an entry form in mid-June. Entry forms are due by July 25th and if more than 250 applications (boats) are received, a weighted lottery system will be implemented.
Happy training!

I’m a casualty of the weighted lottery system but would still like to do the race.
Does anyone need a paddler? I completed the last two years in a single kayak.
