Towns and Trails

Hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving!  Ours is about ready to kick off (the Tofurkey is cooking!) and I wanted to sit down and wish you all a happy day, hopefully spent with family and friends.

The continuous hassles of home selling have finally gotten to us. The constant back and forth between agents and lawyers, the inspections, the nickel and dime-ing, nervous first-time buyers who are afraid of their own shadows…

This fall, Dave and I went backpacking in the White Mountains with some friends who had no previous camping experience. They had NO gear to their names, so it was great fun to send them off to REI with a list of everything they would need.

When we first decided to seriously pursue the idea of moving to the Adirondacks, I knew the hardest part for me would be selling our house. I love this house. LOVE.

I know we’ve taken quite a hiatus from updating the site, but it’s all for a good reason…we promise. The last couple of months have been consumed by looking at houses, selling our home in Boston, and tying up various loose ends…
