About Towns and Trails

Everyone dreams of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, climbing K2 or road tripping cross-country for months on end. We do, too. But, like you, we have bills to pay, family obligations and other daily responsibilities that, more often than not, keep us from those big adventures.

Towns and Trails is about everyday adventure – a quick hike after work, a weekend backpacking trip, a summer road trip. Adventures that enhance our lives, not become our lives. Adventures that still allow us to have a house, a job and a dog (or cat).

Whether you’re a hiker, climber, biker, camper or road tripper… We hope we inspire you to build adventure into your daily life – so when those once-in-a-lifetime adventures do come around, you’ll be ready.

About Us

Towns and Trails is run by Dave and Jess. Dave is Vice President of Technology for a large human services non-profit in Cambridge, Mass. Jess is a freelance marketing and communications professional, with a flair for pet sitting. They recently moved from the Boston-area to the Adirondack mountains of New York state, where adventure is a way of life.
