Busy
Between a new job, existing jobs, volunteer jobs, getting the house ready for a week-long parental visit before I jet off on a work trip, and keeping the crew fed, exercised and happy, I’m a little out of breath. I was not born to be this busy; it’s not a good look for me. Thank gods we don’t have a kid. We’d be sending it to boarding school a few weeks early.
A glimpse into my afternoon: while making lunch I just dumped a whole can of tuna into the trash can instead of the mixing bowl. Oops! My mind was crafting an email I need to send instead of crafting the delicious salad I was craving.
And Little Miss Helpy McHelperson is not really making things easier. She thinks it’s great fun to follow me around as I sweep, destroying the neat little piles of dirt, hair, and stuffed animal guts that are solely a result of her antics.

My goodness, I adore this dog.
