Our boats haven’t seen much time in the water yet this year, but a few weeks ago we decided to explore the St. Regis Canoe Area.
Our first trip to Lake Everest resulted in less paddling than we would have liked, so we went back for a second time sans puppy and explored the area a bit.
Crappy weather, sprained ankles, and crazy work schedules aside, we’ve managed to get outside and have a little bit of fun recently.
Including taking Willa Jean for her first paddle.
Wow! I hope this doesn’t become a popular West coast extreme sport. It was very strange to come across this video of a guy kayaking through the flooded streets of my hometown.
The Chubb River has always been a bit of an Adirondack landmark for us. Reaching it signaled that we were close to finishing our Northville Placid thru-hikes. However, we recently had the opportunity to enjoy the river in another way.
Amid millionaire “camps” and scenic views of the High Peak, a small section of cliffs and ledges somehow manages to stand out along the shores of Lake Placid.
