Towns and Trails

Random as it may seem, there was a lot of thought that went into our decision to vacation in Michigan this summer.  When I first got the itch to plan a trip back in May, I had it in my mind that we would check out the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

We are on the tail end of our road trip now. Last few days have been great. Especially Wednesday when we drove to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and hiked out to Pyramid Point, which overlooks Lake Michigan from a 150 foot bluff.

Posting from our campsite at Leelanau State Park, located at the northernmost tip of Leelanau Penninsula. Had to alter our plans just a little bit yesterday, as the campground where we originally planned to stay booked up early.

Hi everyone! Typing this up from our balcony over looking the Kalamazoo river (Kalamazoo, of Derek Jeter birthplace fame) in Saugatuck, Michigan.

Don’t panic! We’re just on vacation for a couple of weeks. Dave and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary with a road trip to Lake Michigan.
