Friday Featured Website: Adirondack Almanack
Today is Friday, isn’t it?
For whatever reason, I tend to slack on Fridays and often fail to post anything at all. A hold-over from my corporate days, I assume. So in an effort to stop this tremendously bad habit, I’m starting a Friday series where I’ll highlight another blog or website that is Towns and Trails approved. Which simply means I enjoy it and visit it 62 times a day to see if any new content has been posted.
Consider it a shout-out to those unwitting souls who bring me joy, inform me, make me laugh, and continually fuel my procrastination habit. Maybe they’ll do the same for you.
Oh, and I should say that I am always looking for new blogs to add to my starting rotation. I feel like I stumble across a new one weekly that everyone seems to know about but me and then I think to myself, “WHERE have you been all my life?” So if you have a favorite, by all means, SHARE.
So, in no particular order, let’s get this going. Today’s featured website is:
The Almanack is kind of the grandaddy of Adirondack blogs. It has grown tremendously (did I really just use that word again?) over the past couple of years and now has more than a dozen regular contributors. The Almanack covers the culture, history, politics and environment of the Adirondack park, which means there is something for everyone. With several new stories posted each day, it’s the perfect blog to catch up on over morning coffee.
Hope you enjoy it!
