See and Ski: Big Tupper and The Wild Center Team Up

This is such a great promotion, I can’t wait to check it out.

From Friday, January 29 until Sunday, March 7 the Big Tupper ski area and The Wild Center will offer their See and Ski package deal. For the price of one adult ticket, you can ski Big Tupper and then see all of the cool exhibits at The Wild Center. Both venues are $15 and the free ticket is good for up to two weeks after the purchase date. Doesn’t matter which one you buy first, so it’s up to you whether you “See and Ski” or “Ski and See.” (Say that 5 times fast.)

This is Big Tupper’s first season open after being closed for 10 years. From their website: “The mission of the Big Tupper Ski Area re-opening project is to provide a basic, no frills, affordable ski/snowboarding experience for individuals and families. The project at Big Tupper is a locally initiated, volunteer based, not-for-profit venture. Volunteers and community minded citizens are at the heart and soul of Big Tupper.”

Says Stephanie Ratcliffe, Executive Director at The Wild Center, “Adults who skied Big Tupper as teenagers are returning to teach their kids how to ski. They can have that cool, old-style experience at Big Tupper, and then drive 10 minutes to this cool, new-type of museum, The Wild Center. With prices like this, people can say good-bye to staycations.” Very cool, indeed.

Apparently Tupper Lake is where it’s at this season. Head over to The Wild Center for details.
