The Great Backyard Bird Count, February 12-15
Don’t forget! This weekend is the 13th annual Great Backyard Bird Count. Spend 15 minutes – or as long as you want – counting birds in your backyard (or anywhere) and record your findings online. It’s that simple. Your participation will help researchers at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society learn more about the health of our bird populations – and how to protect them.
For more details on how to participate in the count, and tips on bird identification, visit the National Audubon Society or birdsource.org.
Happy birding!

Ooooh lovely. Can counting birds be a permanent (paid) job? Speaking of birds, just this morning Atti was telling me that he saw this amazingly beautiful hawk in a tree behind our building. Sniper.
Sniper! The Hawk and the Squirrel – there’s a children book in there somewhere.
