The Perpetual Tourist
I keep wondering when I’m going to feel okay about leaving the house without my camera. I never related to those people who carry their camera with them everywhere. When I was out and about, I rarely thought to myself, “Man, I wish I had my camera with me!”
Now, that thought crosses my mind multiple times a day. Because of that, I’ve developed the habit of tossing it in my purse whenever I leave the house. It’s become almost as necessary as my cell phone – I’m totally lost without it. I do, however, need to break the habit of pulling the car over every two miles to snap a picture of that same darn mountain, or meadow, or snow covered tree that I took a photo of yesterday. It’s seriously cutting into my productivity.
Here are a few images from today’s jaunt around town. It wasn’t even that great of a day – kind of cloudy and gray – but that didn’t stop me! Just imagine how bad it can be on a nice day.

Trying to be all artsy fartsy:

I always love this view coming down the hill from Elizabethtown:

Gorgeous shots! If I remember correctly, a close friend in Keene Valley told me there was some sort of preservation effort being started to shore up or save (or something) that barn. Of course, this was a few years ago. That view down from E-town is amazing, isn’t it? But it comes and goes SO quickly! Good job grabbing that shot!
