The Wild Center: Winter Wildays
Winters in the Adirondacks are long and cold – not that I’m complaining. To combat the long, cold days, The Wild Center in Tupper Lake is offering its Winter Wildays each Saturday and Sunday. From now until the end of March, every Saturday will offer a program on how to “grow your skills.” And every Sunday is a chance to get the kids out and about on Family Art and Nature day. Some of the topics lined up for this winter include: easy ways to reduce your carbon footprint with Composting 101, Heating with Biomass or Windpower in the Adirondacks, and a winter photography workshop.
On tap for this weekend: Boreal Birds in the Adirondacks on Saturday, and Adirondack Turtles on Sunday.
