Upstate New York Wildlife Photo Contest
The Post-Standard newspaper in Syracuse is running an Upstate New York (Central NY and Adirondacks) wildlife photo contest. The top three photographs will be published on Father’s Day in the sports section of the newspaper, along with selected photos from all entries. Winners will be judged by newspaper staff at The Post-Standard.
In addition to being published in The Post-Standard, the 3 winners will be given a choice to receive one of the following books: “Adirondack Trails, Eastern Guide,” by the Adirondack Mountain Club; “Falconer on the Edge,” by Rachel Dickinson, “Fly Fishing for Striped Bass,” by Rich Murphy or “Roland Martin’s 101 Bass-Catching Secrets,” by Roland Martin. The photo with the most votes will receive first dibs on the books.
To enter, e-mail your photos to pictures@syracuse.com in .jpg format. Include the full name of the photographer, what’s in the photo, date and time photo was taken, along with a daytime phone number for further questions. In the subject field of each email, include the words “Wildlife photo,” your name and the number of the photo you’ve sent: (Example: Wildlife photo, Bill Smith, 1 of 3).
Good luck!
