In 2009 we sold the home we loved, packed up everything we owned (including a 75 gallon tank full of fish!), and said goodbye to our life in Boston to chase a wild dream... move to the Adirondacks!

The Adirondack Park in Upsate NY is the largest park in the contiguous United States. Its 6.1 million acres are a unique blend of public and private lands that encompass an area larger than that of Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Glacier, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Parks combined.

Last week’s downhill outing was such a success that we’re heading to Whiteface today. Lift tickets are only $35 – more than half off of their regular price – so we decided to give it a go before the season ends. It’s warm and a bit drizzly here in the valley, which should translate to comfortable conditions on the mountain.
Fingers crossed that today is half as much fun as last time!
