After several days of unbearably steamy, sticky, humid weather, we finally got some relief. THIS is what summer should be like in the mountains. Warm days, cool nights. Bright, clear skies. A constant reminder that a new season is always just around the corner.
We call these “Northville-Placid Days” because they always remind us of being on the trail.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
While out in our yard yesterday evening I noticed a spattering of color in one of our maples.
It put a smile on my face. There’s nothing I love more than the seasons changing. Those few weeks between summer and fall are when I am happiest to be alive.
We’ve got a little while to go yet, but that’s okay. I’m not quite done with summer yet.
