Annual Rustic Furniture Fair at the Adirondack Museum

The 22nd Annual Rustic Furniture Fair will take place at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, NY on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 10am-4pm.

The Adirondack Museum’s Rustic Furniture Fair is recognized as the premier rustic furniture show in the country. More than 50 artisans will showcase their handcrafted furniture, fine art and accessories. The artists show and sell their work by invitation only.

Furniture making, wood carving and painting demonstrations will take place both days. Barney Bellinger of Sampson Bog Studio in Mayfield, NY will work on an original piece throughout the weekend, which will then be sold in a silent auction. The winner will be announced at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6.

In addition, entertainment will be provided by the Lime Hollow Boys on Saturday and Frank Orsini on Sunday.

On Friday, September 4, a Preview Benefit will held at the museum from 2pm-5pm, offering a chance to meet the artists. The museum will be closed during this time. Museum exhibits will remain open during the Rustic Furniture Fair on Saturday and Sunday.
