Northville Placid Speed Record Broken!

Major congrats go out to Sheryl Wheeler who finished the Northville-Placid trail in 35 hours and 15 minutes, a new record for a supported hike of the trail.

The previous record, held by Tim Seaver, was 37 hours and 31 minutes.

A “supported” hike essentially means that she had arranged to have people meet and supporting her along the way with supplies.

The record for an unsupported hike, no support crew or resupply, is held by the Adirondack’s very own Drew Haas who did it in 2 days, 12 hours, 30 minutes.

In case you are wondering, Jess and I are right on their heels. We average about 13 days.
