Time with friends and family.

That has to be one our favorite things about the Holidays.

One of our least favorite things? Travelling to be with them.

Especially if it means flying… oh how I hate flying.

But if there is one semi, sorta, maybe, kinda fun way to travel it has to be the road trip.

To be honest with you, I am not even sure what distinguishes a road trip from a long drive. Like my 5 hour work commute to Boston… I certainly don’t think of that as a road trip. So maybe it has more to do with your state of mind than anything else. If you are setting off toward a destination and you are determined to have fun and adventure along the way… well then, it is a road trip!

Let’s just say we have a doozy of a road trip lined up this Holiday Season.

And yes, the puppies are coming with us.

This will be our own warped version of National Lampoon’s Vacation. I guess I get to play the part of Chevy Chase.

Fortunately, we have some local friends and family who will be staying at our house and watching over the fort while we are gone… you know, to keep the peace between Foster and the fish.
