The second annual Southern Adirondack Rock Climbers’ Fest is scheduled for this September 11-13 and will be held at Crane Mountain.
Itineraries for the 3-day event are kept intentionally loose, and the goal is to have a fun, informal get-together that will help introduce people to climbing in the Southern ‘Dacks.
We’re going to help folks get to the cliffs, get oriented, make suggestions, and maybe set up a Top-Rope or two for everyone. We’re also arranging a DEC group camping permit during SAdkRF. We will gather here to discuss the local climbing scene and any other important information.

This year’s festival promises to include the “world’s most casual bouldering competition,” and really sounds like a great time overall. It should be the perfect opportunity to meet other climbers and explore some new crags in a friendly environment.
