Just passing this along.

Due to the extreme flooding and rain, the DEC is saying that the backcountry is likely to be a dangerous place this weekend… even though the weather looks like it will be nice.

Saturated soil and high winds will down trees and can lead to landslides. Bridges may be out, or compromised, and crossings without them will be very risky (if not impossible).

Waterways are likely to have debris and concealed navigational hazards.

So, if you are in the area this weekend, instead of outdoor adventure, consider enjoying one of the towns… hit up a restaurant… have a night out!
